• Qualification:
An applicant should have at least a 10th pass from a recognized educational
board.
• Age: Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
• Documents Required: Aadhaar, passport, or Driving Licence, Voter ID or
Ration Card.
The Remote Pilot Certificate course is a 5-day program,
comprising:
• Ground Training
• Simulator Training
• Practical Training
On successful completion, a DGCA Remote Pilot Certificate is obtained.
Ground Classes for Drone Pilots
• Covering DGCA regulations, drone hardware, operational and
emergency procedures.
• Understanding aerodynamics, airspace norms and flight documentation.
Simulator Training
• Recreating virtual flying environments for handling
emergencies and improving situational judgment.
• Improved confidence in flight control before practical application.
Live Field Training
• Supervised practical flying sessions, including both day and night operations.
Day 1 – Registration & Theory
• Registration: 15 minutes
• Stakeholders & their laws: 1:30 hours
• Basic Flight Principles:1 hour
• ATC Procedures & Radio Telephony: 1 hour
• Fixed-Wing Operations and Aerodynamics: 1:30 hours
• Rotorcraft Operations and Aerodynamics: 1:30 hour
• Hybrid Operations and Aerodynamics: 30 minutes
Day 2: Theory Sessions
• Question and Answers: 30 minutes
• Weather and Meteorology: 1:15 hours
• Drone Equipment Maintenance: 1:30 hours
• Risk Assessment & Analysis: 1:30 hours
• Payload, Installation and Utilization: 1:15 hours
• Introduction to Drone Data & Analysis: 1:30 hours

Day 3: Ground & Simulator Training Session
• Theory Test: 40 minutes
• Simulator Training Session: 3 hours
• Introduction to flight simulator, pre-flight checks, control verification
• Hovering, cruising, landing, climb/descend exercises
• Circuit flying including rectangles, squares, circles, figure-8 patterns
• Gimbal control, night flying, abnormal/emergency procedures
• Simulator Test
• Basic Maintenance and Assembling:2 hours
• Identification of drone components, assembling and disassembling, minor
repairs
• Ground control station training and flight documentation
Days 4 & 5: Drone Flying Training Sessions
Practical Drone Flying Session: 4:30 hours
• Introduction to the Digital Sky platform
• RPAS familiarization and safety briefing
• Introductory flight with climb, descent and height maintenance
• Control inputs for pitch, roll and yaw
• Disorientation recovery
• Level turns in both directions
• Multirotor progress checks
• Climbing and descending turns
• Square circuits, circular flight, and figure-8 patterns
• Mission planning and instrument flying
• Auto-mission execution
• Night flying
• Abnormal/Emergency Procedures
